the aura house + reformer pilates
New to Reformer Pilates? You’ll see 3 “Levels” on the schedule at both our Brampton & Bolton locations:
Level 1 | This class refers to the foundational principles that every reformer class will build upon. You’ll learn how to set up and use your reformer machine, giving you the confidence to start your practice and explore other classes.
Level 2 | This class will both challenge and support you as you work on enhancing your balance, flexibility & core strength while sculpting lean muscles. This full-body workout is uniquely designed to challenge and tone your weaker areas while elongating tighter ones.
Level 3 | Reformer 3 is an intermediate class. Perfect if you have previous experience using the reformer or want to try something more dynamic. These classes focus on technique enhancement, layering progressions, and increasing strength by building resistance with more complex movements.
An excellent rehabilitation system, Reformer Pilates is perfect if you are recovering from an injury and know you will need modifications, have medical conditions like vertigo or blood pressure issues, are pregnant, or postpartum. Since the reformer is elevated from the ground, getting on and off the machine is much easier than having to get up off the floor like you would in Mat Pilates or Yoga. A reformer also offers a vast range of modifications, allowing students to easily change positions or choose their level of resistance and difficulty.
The resistance provided by the reformer offers bone and joint health benefits, making Reformer Pilates an ideal practice for aging individuals. Pilates has been proven to improve bone density, core strength, and joint health.
