We’re half-way through November and before we know it, the holidays will be upon us! Last year, we all heard the cry to support small local businesses during the holidays. For many small businesses in Brampton, a successful holiday season can make or break their year. The call to support small is something we will forever shout from the rooftops. We’re not just a yoga studio— we're also a retail space and have several small businesses and local makers who sell their products through The Aura Store. If you’ve ever stepped foot in the Aura House— whether it be for a yoga class, reiki session, or just to check out the beautiful historic building— you’ve probably noticed the crystals stretching from one side of the main foyer to the next. Those crystals come to us courtesy of Amaru (formerly known as The Breakthrough Centre). From pendulums to crystal hearts, and palm stones to bracelets, Amaru provides us with high quality crystals to use in our practices and everyday lives. Don’t know a ton about crystals but have someone in your life who loves them? Set up a Crystal Store appointment with Lisa so she can help guide you towards just the right thing.

If you ever have the chance to smell the beautiful products from Tangco Botanicals that we have in store, you’re sure to fall in love. Tangco is a small business started by mother-daughter duo Chanele (Coco) and Jennifer Tangco. Based in Burlington, Tangco Botanicals body care products are non-GMO, organic, vegan, cruelty-free and sustainable. The Arnica Salve, Dragon’s Blood Whipped Body Butter, and Rose Mist facial Toner are some of our favourites.

Another mother-daughter duo, Pine River Soap Company started as a way for Janice and Sarah to spend more time together and blossomed into something more. Yoga classes are one of the major parts of what we do here at The Aura House, so it would be natural for us to carry yoga props that we trust. Tranquil Yogi and The Aura House share a lot of similar values— especially community and giving back. It only made sense for us to carry products from a company so well aligned with what we stand for.
